
A new mural on the snack bar at Kessler Park in Bloomington, highlighting key elements of the community. The mural incorporates images of a train running through Bloomington’s neighborhoods, a Little League player and symbols of the town’s history and culture.
Kessler Park mural project in Bloomington California was a community mural project funded by the Creative Corps grant and partnership with Arts Connection. The mural is part of the statewide Creative Corps Inland SoCal initiative, a post-pandemic effort to engage communities and employ artists. The initiative, supported by Arts Connection, provided funding for 51 public art projects across the Inland Empire, including this one.
The project also included input from the Bloomington Recreation and Parks District, and local residents through listening sessions and a community survey. The project inluded a community paint day, and a team of assistants of local emerging muralist from Bloomington.
